4 Things to Include in Your Website Footer
You know that little section at the bottom of your website? It’s often forgotten, but can pack a real punch if you’re strategic with what you put down there. Here are 3 things to include in your footer:
Social Media Links
You’ll often see social media links in the header which is fine. I tend to think they look cluttered and by placing them front and center on your websites navigation you’re directing traffic to leave! You want to keep visitors on your website. But, if you place them in the footer it allows your visitors to check out your social media and follow you AFTER they’ve already scrolled your website.
Contact Info
This could be a simple link to your contact page or could also be your direct email, phone number, or physical address. Make sure someone can easily get in touch with you.
Legal Terms
By owning a website you are required by law to have legal documents accessible to your website visitors. This may include a Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Disclaimer.
Email Sign-Up
By including email sign up in your footer, regardless of what page a visitor lands on they’ll be prompted to sign up. Emails can be a great marketing tactic for growing your business so even if you aren’t actively running email marketing campaigns, it’s still smart to collect addresses to use for the future.
